About Me
Hi, I’m Krista Sipos, Program Director and founder of Golden Melodies.
I create inclusive, music-based experiences that support connection, confidence, and meaningful participation. My work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves opportunities to engage, express themselves, and feel a sense of belonging—regardless of age, ability, or support needs.
Golden Melodies offers welcoming programming for a wide range of audiences, with a particular focus on adults with disabilities, individuals with diverse support needs, and older adults. Sessions are thoughtfully structured, flexible, and responsive, allowing participants to engage in ways that feel accessible, respectful, and empowering.
My background spans recreation therapy, social services, and community music practice. I am a Registered Recreation Therapist (R/TRO) and a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW), with additional training in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) to support safe, respectful engagement. I bring over a decade of experience working in community, educational, and care-based settings. This interdisciplinary foundation allows me to design programs that are both engaging and purposeful--balancing creativity with intention.
In recent years, my work has expanded to include post-secondary supports, life skills development, and employment readiness, where I support adults in building confidence, self-advocacy, and practical skills for education, community participation, and work-related environments. These services are offered as facilitation and support, not job placement, and are always tailored to individual or group needs.
At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to inclusion, dignity, and collaboration. Whether I’m leading a music session, supporting skill development, or working alongside staff and families, my goal is to meet people where they are and create experiences that feel meaningful, achievable, and genuinely enjoyable.
If you’re looking for inclusive, well-structured programming delivered with care and purpose, I’d be happy to connect and explore what might work best for your group, organization, or family.
